August Outreach with FACT: Back-to-School Support Across Genesee and Saginaw Counties

August was a busy and impactful month for FACT as our team connected with families across the region through a variety of community outreach events. In addition to our ongoing Community Coffee Chats in both Genesee and Saginaw Counties and Mobile Mondays with the Saginaw Public Libraries, we partnered with many organizations to support families as they prepared for the new school year.

FACT joined in at resource fairs and back-to-school events hosted by Gospel Fest, United Way of Saginaw County, Victorious Believers, Great Lakes Bay Health, Voices for Children, Clio Schools, and others. These gatherings gave families the chance to gather school supplies, meet community providers, and access valuable resources all in one place.

At each event, FACT worked alongside partners to fill backpacks with supplies, share back-to-school tips, and connect families with educational and community services designed to make the transition into fall smoother. Families left with not only the tools their children need for the classroom but also a sense of connection and encouragement for the year ahead.

We are grateful to our partners for creating these opportunities and for their continued commitment to children and families in our community. FACT is excited to keep building these collaborations to ensure every child in Flint, Saginaw, and surrounding communities has what they need to start the school year strong.
