JULY: Clean Clothes, Full Hearts: Loads of Love in Saginaw
On July 30th, FACT returned to Center Road Laundry in Saginaw for another Loads of Love event—a simple yet powerful way to lighten the load for local families. With the hum of washers and dryers in the background, families came together not just to do laundry, but to connect, receive support, and feel seen.

JULY: Stretching Into Connection: Calm and Connected Yoga at Flint Public Library
On July 23rd, Families And Children Together (FACT) welcomed families into the bright, modern space of the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library for an evening that was a little quieter, a little slower—and deeply meaningful.

On the evening of July 17th, families from across Saginaw gathered at Haithco Park for a simple, beautiful reminder of what community looks like in action. FACT’s Caregiver Dinner offered space for connection, fun, and a chance to just breathe—and thanks to the steady breeze, a sky full of colorful kites.

JULY: Flying High in Genesee County: A Joyful Evening at the Flint Caregiver Dinner
On the warm summer evening of July 15th, Families And Children Together (FACT) hosted a memorable Caregiver Dinner for Genesee County families at Physicians Park in Grand Blanc. This special event was all about connection. It brought together caregivers, children, and community members in a laid-back, welcoming setting designed to celebrate and strengthen the families we serve.

Makin’ Waves in Saginaw: Pool Safety, Dinner & Family Fun
On June 26, FACT dove into summer with a splash—hosting a Caregiver Dinner and Swim Safety Night at the YMCA of Saginaw.
Families came ready for fun, learning, and connection. The evening kicked off with a free dinner, followed by swim safety tips led by experienced staff, and plenty of time to enjoy the indoor pool. On May 29, families gathered at Wash King Laundromat for a chance to wash up to three loads of laundry—for free. We provided the detergent, softener, and dryer sheets, while families took care of what matters most. On March 26th, we returned to the Court St. ProClean Laundromat for another “Loads of Love” Laundry Day—and once again, the spirit of togetherness filled the room. It was more than just a chance to wash clothes. It was a chance to breathe. To pause. To share space with others walking through similar seasons.

Finding Calm, Building Connection: Yoga & Caregiver Dinner in Saginaw
On March 20th, we hosted a calming and restorative Calm & Connected Yoga and Caregiver Dinner at the YMCA of Saginaw. Families came together to unwind, stretch, and breathe during a gentle beginner yoga session—no experience needed! We provided yoga mats and comfy space for caregivers and children to relax and recharge. Afterward, everyone enjoyed a healthy meal and meaningful conversation. The evening also included valuable insight and resources to support families navigating daily life. Events like this are designed to nourish both body and mind, while creating moments of connection within the community. Thank you to Molina Heath for supplying us with some Dental Health Resources that were shared with families. We are grateful to all who joined us and to the YMCA for providing such a welcoming space.

Celebrating Champions for Children at the 30th Annual Award Breakfast
On March 19th, FACT proudly attended the 30th Annual Children’s Champion Award Breakfast, hosted by one of our key partners, Voices for Children Advocacy Center. This powerful event celebrates individuals and organizations who go above and beyond to support children who have experienced abuse and neglect. Our CEO, Bridgitt McCaughey, had the honor of presenting the Caring Adult Award, recognizing someone who has made a lasting impact in the lives of local youth.
