SAGINAW TRIAD MEETINGS

FACT is excited to share that we have been meeting regularly with the Saginaw CAN Council and Saginaw Department of Health and Human Services! These meetings have been coordinated in an effort to support our triad's work in the area of prevention and to ensure we are not duplicating efforts. Thus far, we have been attending neighborhood association meetings together, had opportunities to share information, and connect each other to valuable resources in the area that can help us have a stronger impact in our communities. We appreciate the time we have had with them, and cannot wait to see what our futures hold together.

NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGS

Starting in March, FACT has had the pleasure of meeting with neighborhood associations in Saginaw. We have had opportunities to share more about our mission, learn from community members about their concerns, and establish invaluable connections with Saginaw residents. FACT has been attending these meetings alongside our friends at CAN Council and the Rolling Family Resource Center – check them out here! [Mobile Family Resource Center – CAN Council]]

If you are partnered with a local neighborhood association and think there may be an opportunity for FACT to join, please reach out to chad@mi-fact.org. We would love to continue expanding our reach into our communities at the neighborhood level!

SCHOOL GROUPS

Recently, we have been exploring opportunities to connect with parents in Genesee and Saginaw counties through their local school groups. Whether it be parent coalitions, Great Start programs, or other school groups that are investing into their communities, FACT is excited about meeting with parents and having open discussions about their experiences. We had an excellent meeting with parents from Potter Elementary School and are happy to share that we will be attending their Community Health Fair in May! Please contact chad@mi-fact.orgif you or someone you know would be interested in having FACT present with their local school groups.
