OCTOBER: Schools, Mobile Mondays, and Community Connections

October was another strong month for outreach across our communities. FACT’s Mobile Monday event took place at the Houghton Jones Neighborhood Center in Saginaw, where families were able to meet with an incredible group of partner organizations offering food, books, activities, and support.

The FACT On The Go Mobile Resource Unit was also out in the community this month. The unit made multiple Thursday visits to the R.L. Jones Community Resource Center in Flint, a first visit to St. Luke’s N.E.W. Life Center, as well as our first venture into Saginaw County at the Mobile Monday event.

FACT joined the fun at the UAW Local 659 Trunk or Treat, celebrating Halloween with families from the neighborhood, and participated in the GHS Tailgate Experience at New Standard Academy, engaging with students and caregivers in a relaxed, festive setting.

Our Community Coffee Chats in both Genesee and Saginaw Counties continue to bring people together over a cup of coffee and conversation. Each chat gives neighbors a space to share their voices, build relationships, and help shape FACT’s work in the months ahead.
