Saginaw County's Pop-Up of Books, Fun, Food, and Family Resources - May 11th, 2026 - Jerome Preschool
Mobile Monday at Jerome Preschool brought families together for an evening of books, food, resources, and community connection. Children picked out free books, enjoyed activities, and spent time with partners who helped make the evening fun and welcoming.Families connected directly with local organizations and received practical support, on-site referrals, health resources, housing information, family essentials, hygiene items, diapers, wipes, newborn clothing, and take-home meal bags. Having so many partners in one place made it easier for families to ask questions and find support in real time.Youth engagement was a strong part of the evening. Public Libraries of Saginaw helped keep literacy visible, Great Lakes Bay Health Mobile Vision bus for eye exams and consultation, and Hungry Howie's for providing pizza for families, and "Howie" for his surprise visit! Thank you to the Hispanic Latino Commission of Michigan for sponsoring the May Mobile Monday and the bilingual books for the children. Thank you to all partners and community organizations who showed up and contributed to a strong event for Saginaw families.
