Season's greetings to you!

We wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude for the incredible support and collaboration we have received from you, our partners and supporters throughout 2023. Your commitment has played a critical role in our success, and we could not be more thankful.

Now for the big news! FACT has been awarded a grant by MDHHS to help support families of Category III and IV CPS investigations. FACT will help families navigate the challenges and avoid the trauma of separation.

In addition to reaching this milestone, we are humbled and thrilled to announce FACT has received a grant from the Flint Kids Fund of the Foundation for Flint. This generous support will undoubtedly enhance our ability to make a lasting impact in the community.

Our 'Envisioning Groups' in Saginaw and Genesee counties will continue throughout 2024. We invite everyone to join us in this collaborative effort as we work together to shape and influence the positive transformations that lie ahead. We must take in as much input as possible from the community and fellow organizations.

We are actively engaged in a focus group study in collaboration with SVSU. We seek direct input from the community itself, allowing individuals to share their perspectives on what their families need to thrive. Through evaluation, we will grab valuable insights to ensure our efforts align with the genuine needs of the community.

2024 is filled with exciting opportunities for FACT to move our project forward. These include:

  • Co-hosts of the Community Based Child Welfare National Symposium in Detroit this fall for over 20 states focusing on the CBC approaches

  • Full implementation of the MiARGOS case management system

  • Securing 'Service Hub' locations in areas of need

  • Designing the hubs as state-of-the-art trauma-informed environments

  • Implementing a first-of-its-kind Prevention/Diversion program and an expanding network of available services

  • Further growth of the FACT team

  • Strengthening further legislative support in Lansing and DC

As we celebrate the holiday season and reflect on the achievements of the past year, let us also look forward to the opportunities and positive transformations that the new year will bring. A special thanks goes out to our Board Members without whom we would not have achieved so greatly. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of families in our community.

Warmest Regards,

Bridgitt
