May is a Month of Meaningful Moments at FACT
Dear Friends,
We have had a full and meaningful month at FACT. In May, we spent time in both Genesee and Saginaw counties, connecting with families and strengthening partnerships throughout the community.
We joined other organizations at events like the Genesee County Resource Fair at Berston, Catholic Charities’ Foster Parent Appreciation Night, and a Saginaw neighborhood cleanup. These are just a few ways we stay connected and visible in the community through collaboration and outreach.
In addition to those, we also hosted several of our own FACT events—Airborne Adventures in Saginaw, a caregiver dinner at the Flint Children’s Museum, our first Yoga Pop-Up at the Flint Public Library, and another Loads of Love event in Saginaw. Each event saw great participation from families, with many new faces joining us this month.
We also held our very first Education Summit, bringing voices together to better support children and families in school settings. Our Hub spaces are getting more use than ever, with a steady rise in room reservations. There is still space available, and we invite you to learn more or book a room at mi-fact.org/hubs.
It is exciting to see the growing level of community connection happening, from the families we serve to our partner organizations. We are grateful for your continued support and look forward to the months ahead.
Regards,
Bridgitt McCaughey

May Events were Hopping and Inquisitive
Our Bounces of Love event on May 19 in Saginaw was a great success. Children of all ages had full access to the Airborne Adventure facility and made the most of it. Families enjoyed a free meal and time together in a relaxed and active setting.
We were joined by Grateful Love Foundation and Lorisa Bellinger from Carter Kits, who provided sensory toys for the kids. It was a strong turnout and a great example of how these events build connection and support for families in our community.
Our Caregiver Dinner & Discovery at the Flint Children’s Museum on May 21 brought families together for a hands-on evening of learning and play. Children explored the museum's interactive exhibits while caregivers had the chance to connect in a welcoming space.
Dinner was provided for all attendees, creating time for families to pause and enjoy a meal together. The environment was relaxed and engaging, with participation from families across Genesee County. Events like this continue to offer simple but meaningful ways for families to bond and build supportive relationships.
We held our Calm & Connected Pop-Up Event on May 28th at the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library. We offered families a peaceful break in their week. The gentle yoga session was accessible for all ages and created a truly calming environment. Families shared a healthy meal afterward and had the chance to unwind together. It was a relaxing and well-received evening that supported both physical wellness and family connection. Once again, Felicia Campbell taught another great yoga session for the families.

Throughout May, FACT showed up alongside community partners at several important events. We partnered with Molina Healthcare at their Community Baby Shower on May 9, joined the TeamUp to Cleanup effort in Saginaw on May 10, and participated in the Crime Stoppers Genesee County Community Safety Resource Fair at Berston Fieldhouse on May 17. Whether sharing resources, lending a hand, or connecting with families, we continue to stay present and involved wherever we can make a difference.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT
We are deeply grateful for the continued support of four partners: the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, the Saginaw Community Foundation, Hemlock Semiconductor Foundation, and Flint ReCAST. Their investment in our mission makes it possible for us to stay connected with families, offer meaningful support, and respond to our families' needs. These new funds will also allow us to open new avenues for innovative programming that strengthens families and builds stronger communities across both Genesee and Saginaw counties. Stay tuned for the latest!
Thank you to all our supporters!
