Building Community Through Connection: Our First Caregiver Dinner in Saginaw!

On February 20th, we hosted our first Community Caregiver Dinner at the Mid-Michigan Children's Museum! Families from all over the Saginaw community came together for an evening centered on connection, conversation, and positive experiences!

The evening kicked off with families exploring the museum’s interactive exhibits together—caregivers and children side by side, building, splashing, climbing, and playing. The space was a place of positivity, laughter, and excitement as families shared positive shared experiences, creating joyful memories in a hands-on, engaging environment.

After plenty of play, everyone gathered for a meal, sharing food and conversation in a warm and welcoming space. We invited families to take part in a thoughtful discussion about how we can build a more connected and supportive Saginaw. Each table had discussion cards with prompts to spark meaningful conversations, encouraging caregivers to reflect and share ideas on what a strong community looks like and how we can create it together.

These moments—where families come together, play, eat, and share their voices—are the heart of what we do. They remind us that connection starts with simple, intentional interactions and that every connection is a step toward a stronger, more united community. These moments, where families can simply be present with one another, create the foundation for positive childhood experiences that last a lifetime.

At FACT, we believe in the power of coming together, sharing stories, and lifting each other. This Community Caregiver Dinner was just the beginning of our efforts in Saginaw, and we are excited to continue creating spaces where families can connect, feel heard, and build lasting relationships.

Stay connected with us for upcoming events and opportunities to be part of this growing community.
