Connecting Over Coffee: March’s Community Chat in Flint

On the morning of Monday, March 10th, Families And Children Together (FACT) hosted a warm and welcoming Community Coffee Chat at Café Rhema, located in the heart of downtown Flint.

From 9:00 to 11:00 AM, caregivers, community partners, and local residents came together to share a cup of coffee and meaningful conversation. These chats are designed to offer a casual, supportive space where people can connect with the FACT team, learn about available resources, and contribute their voice to the ongoing work of community-based care.

The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting—just what you’d expect from a cozy café tucked into Saginaw Street. Laughter, thoughtful dialogue, and even a few new collaborations filled the space. Whether someone stopped in for five minutes or stayed for the full two hours, everyone left feeling seen, heard, and connected.

Events like these are part of FACT’s mission to meet families where they are—offering dignity, partnership, and a good cup of coffee along the way.

Stay tuned for more upcoming Community Coffee Chats in Flint and beyond. We can’t wait to share a table with you next time. More to come! We will be making this a recurring event!
