Glow Party Caregiver Dinner Shines a Light on Connection and Kindness

Glow Party Caregiver Dinner Shines a Light on Connection and Kindness
March 18, 2025 – Elegant Way Event Center, Flint, MI

On the evening of March 18th, the Elegant Way Event Center was glowing—literally and figuratively—as families from across the area gathered for FACT’s Glow Party Caregiver Dinner. This free community event offered a vibrant and joyful night filled with food, music, laughter, creativity, and connection, all while promoting the important message of bullying prevention.

The event was designed to give caregivers and children a space to unwind, celebrate one another, and engage in meaningful conversation. Kids dove into arts and crafts projects with glow-in-the-dark materials, covered their arms with fun temporary tattoos, and lit up the dance floor. The music was lively, and the room buzzed with excitement as families laughed, played, and made memories together.

Caregivers had the opportunity to explore anti-bullying resources and discuss ways to create safe, supportive environments for their children—at home, in school, and in the community. By combining education with celebration, the evening created space not only for learning but also for healing and joy.

A delicious dinner of Cottage Inn Pizza was shared by all, offering a moment for families to sit down together and enjoy a warm meal in good company. We know that something as simple as sharing food can strengthen bonds, and this night reminded us how vital those shared experiences are.

We are deeply grateful to the community partners who helped bring this night to life. Events like these reflect what FACT stands for: building community, nurturing relationships, and creating moments that leave lasting, positive impressions—especially for children. The smiles, the dancing, the glowing art—it all pointed back to the same message: every family deserves joy, connection, and support.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and supported the Glow Party. We cannot wait for the next one! More on that soon.
