Loads of Love: Building Community One Laundry Day at a Time

FLINT. MI - On March 26th, we returned to the Court St. ProClean Laundromat in Flint for another “Loads of Love” Laundry Day—and once again, the spirit of togetherness filled the room. It was more than just a chance to wash clothes. It was a chance to breathe, pause, and share space with others walking through similar seasons.

Over 40 families from across the county joined us that day. Some even arrived early with full baskets and little ones in tow. As washers and dryers buzzed in the background, people connected, FACT shared resources, and spent time connecting in ways that felt genuine and easy. For a few hours, a typical Tuesday was transformed into something meaningful.

We were especially glad to see a mix of familiar faces and new friends. A special thank you to St. Luke’s N.E.W. Life Center for stopping by to check in. Your ongoing support helps make events like this possible, and we are grateful to be in this work alongside community-minded partners like you.

At FACT, we believe that small things matter. Clean laundry, warm conversation, and simple kindness can make all the difference. That is why we continue to create spaces where families can feel seen, supported, and welcomed—whether it is in a laundromat, a library, or one of our Community Service Hubs.

Keep an eye out for our next Laundry Day. We would love to see you there.
