Crafting Kindness in Flint: A Caregiver Dinner to Remember

On Wednesday, April 30th, caregivers and families gathered upstairs at the St. Michael’s Conference Center in Flint for an evening of creativity, connection, and heartfelt appreciation during FACT’s Caregiver Dinner & Cardmaking Night.

Set just above FACT’s Flint Service Hub, the event brought families together around a shared meal and a meaningful art activity — creating handmade keepsake cards to honor the caregiving journey.

The vibe was warm, relaxed, and full of thoughtful moments. While kids and adults alike got creative with markers, stickers, and cardstock, conversations flowed about protective factors and how small acts of care — like making a card — can go a long way.

This event was all about crafting kindness and giving caregivers space to connect not only with resources, but with one another.
