JULY: Clean Clothes, Full Hearts: Loads of Love in Saginaw

On July 30th, FACT returned to Center Road Laundry in Saginaw for another Loads of Love event—a simple yet powerful way to lighten the load for local families. With the hum of washers and dryers in the background, families came together not just to do laundry, but to connect, receive support, and feel seen.

As clothes tumbled dry, conversations unfolded. Parents shared stories. Kids peeked into machines. Neighbors got to know one another. There’s something about a laundromat—something real and unfiltered—that brings people together in unexpected ways.

Thanks to Molina Healthcare, each family received a sturdy laundry bag to take home. STARS supported the event by providing transportation assistance, ensuring more families could attend without worry. Great Lakes Bay Health was also on-site, ready to answer questions and offer helpful resources around healthcare and wellness.

At FACT, we believe care doesn’t always need to be complicated. Sometimes, offering clean clothes in a welcoming space with friendly faces and helpful info is enough to spark a connection, ease a burden, and build community.

We’re grateful to our partners and all the families who showed up, shared space, and reminded us—once again—that when we come together, even everyday tasks can become moments of dignity and care.
