AUGUST: Caregiver Dinner – Genesee County: FORE the Family

On August 14, FACT hosted the FORE the Family Caregiver Dinner at Cops and Robbers Great Escape in Genesee County. Families gathered for an evening designed to strengthen connections, share resources, and enjoy a night out together. The event featured plenty of fun—rounds of putt-putt golf, Roma’s pizza with their famous breadsticks, and hand-dipped ice cream that quickly became a crowd favorite. The mix of games, food, and laughter created the perfect setting for families to unwind and connect.

But the night wasn’t just about fun. Each family also had the chance to pick up back-to-school supplies, household essentials, and practical tips for starting the school year strong. By combining recreational activities with meaningful resources, the Caregiver Dinner gave families both the support and the encouragement they need heading into the busy fall season.

Events like FORE the Family highlight FACT’s mission of bringing families together, reducing stress, and providing real solutions to everyday challenges. Caregiver Dinners offer a safe, welcoming space where parents, caregivers, and children can relax, build relationships, and leave with tools that strengthen their households.

With dozens of families in attendance, the August Caregiver Dinner was more than just a night of putt-putt—it was a chance to prepare for the school year, share laughs, and create memories that will last. FACT will continue to host family-centered events across Genesee and Saginaw Counties, ensuring that resources and community support are accessible to all.
