Loads of Love Visits Wayne County for a Free Community Laundry Day

Families And Children Together (FACT) brought its Loads of Love Free Community Laundry Day to Wayne County for a special one-day event on Thursday, October 22nd, 2026.
The event took place at University Coin Laundromat in Detroit, where families received up to three free loads of laundry, including laundry supplies. This practical assistance helped families save money on an everyday household expense while providing an opportunity to connect with FACT and local community partners.
Building Community Connections
Although FACT primarily serves families throughout Genesee and Saginaw Counties, this special event provided an opportunity to bring Loads of Love to Detroit, meet new families, and work alongside organizations serving the Wayne County community.
The day was about more than laundry. It brought people together, introduced families to helpful resources, and demonstrated how community partnerships can provide meaningful support.
