Families from across Saginaw County joined Families And Children Together (FACT) on Monday, October 12th, for another afternoon of books, learning, and community connections at our Saginaw Community Support Hub.
Our October 989READS Mobile Monday welcomed families for free books, pizza, educational activities, and opportunities to meet local organizations that support children and families. It was another great chance to see familiar faces, meet new friends, and share the importance of reading and learning together.
Helping Kids Discover the Joy of Reading
One of the best parts of Mobile Monday is seeing kids pick out books to take home. Whether they are just learning their letters, beginning to read on their own, or discovering new stories, every book is another opportunity to learn and grow.
Through 989READS, FACT works to encourage literacy, support education, and help families find opportunities that make learning part of everyday life.
Reading at home, exploring new interests, and connecting with educational resources can all make a difference in a child's development. Mobile Monday brings those opportunities together in a fun, welcoming setting where families can enjoy time together.
And, of course, the free pizza from our friends at Hungry Howie's made the afternoon even better!
Community Partners Making a Difference
Mobile Monday is also an opportunity for parents and caregivers to meet people from organizations throughout Saginaw County who can help their children succeed.
From early childhood education and literacy programs to family resources and everyday needs, our community partners bring information and opportunities directly to families.
These connections are a big part of what makes Mobile Monday special. Families can ask questions, learn about programs, and get to know the people behind the organizations serving their community.
Thank You for Another Great Mobile Monday!
A big thank-you to Hungry Howie's for helping us provide pizza for the kids, MiFamily Engagement Centers Region 5 r supporting the event, and all of our community partners who joined us.
Most importantly, thank you to the families who spent part of their afternoon with us. We love seeing kids excited about books and families making connections that can help them long after Mobile Monday ends.
Join Us for an Upcoming Mobile Monday!
FACT's 989READS Mobile Monday continues to bring books, fun, food, and family resources to Saginaw County. Each gathering is another opportunity to celebrate literacy, encourage learning, and help families discover what is available in their community.
We look forward to seeing everyone again soon!
