Families And Children Together (FACT) welcomed families back to its Saginaw County Community Support Hub on October 7th for another Money MythBusters caregiver dinner, presented by Financial Plus Credit Union. Building on the success of the September gathering, the evening created another opportunity for people to sit down, share experiences, ask questions, and talk openly about the financial decisions families face every day.
Money MythBusters takes a different approach to financial education. Rather than a formal presentation, the event encourages conversation about household finances, budgeting, credit, managing expenses, and planning for the future. Participants can bring their own questions and experiences to the table, making the discussion useful for people at different stages of life and with different financial goals.
Financial Plus Credit Union continued its partnership with FACT by helping families explore everyday money matters in a comfortable, judgment-free setting. The conversation also gave FACT and Financial Plus an opportunity to hear directly from families about their concerns, priorities, and the financial topics they would like to explore further.
Children were welcome to participate in the evening, with money-focused activities designed just for them. By including the whole family and sharing a meal together, FACT creates opportunities for caregivers to connect with others while children begin learning about money in ways they can understand.
Money MythBusters is part of FACT's ongoing effort to bring practical support and meaningful conversations into the community. Each gathering helps families build knowledge, share ideas, and have a voice in shaping future events.
