FACT 989 Reads brought Mobile Monday to Carrollton Public Schools for an evening of books, food, activities, and family resources.
The Carrollton staff and student volunteers helped create a welcoming event across the elementary playground. Families received free books, food bags, household essentials, teen hygiene kits, financial education, health resources, and help connecting with local services.
Children enjoyed pizza from Hungry Howie's, art activities, basketball games, snow cones, popcorn, and a foam party. Community partners included United Way, Delighted to Doula, ELGA Credit Union, Financial Plus Credit Union, Lake Huron Credit Union, Side by Side Mobile, Sevyn Rentals, Mary Fives, MyMichigan Health, and FACT On The Go.
Mobile Monday brings useful resources into familiar community spaces. This helps families find support early, reduce stress, and build stronger connections.
Families And Children Together (FACT) is a non-profit organization serving Genesee and Saginaw counties. FACT provides wraparound services that help families navigate challenges and stay safely together. Services include resource coordination, community events, caregiver support, and connection to local partner organizations.
