March’s Loads of Love at Wash King in Saginaw had another great turnout. Many households were able to complete up to three loads, helping relieve a basic but important need.

March’s Loads of Love in Genesee County at Pro Clean on Pierson Road brought in a strong turnout, with families taking advantage of up to three free loads of laundry and supplies. 

Mobile Monday at Butman-Fish Library brought families together for a beautiful evening focused on access, learning, and connection. Children had the opportunity to pick out free books and take part in hands-on activities, while caregivers connected with local partners and received clear, direct information about available resources.

FACT’s academic partnership with Saginaw Valley State University continues to grow. Last month, Chad Pocock joined SVSU faculty to present at The Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors Conference in New Orleans.

FACT’s Loads of Love Free Community Laundry Day took place at Center Road Laundry in Saginaw. Families were able to complete up to three loads of laundry at no cost while connecting with neighbors and speaking with the FACT team.

February’s Loads of Love Community Laundry Day at ProClean on Court Street was one of the busiest we have seen. Interest was high thanks to strong local coverage. ABC12 helped spread the word ahead of the event, and coverage afterward highlighted the impact the day had for families across the community. The visibility brought many new faces through the door.

Mobile Monday at Merrill Park Elementary brought together families, neighbors, and a strong group of community partners. Fun activities for the children and conversation, resources, and local connection for caregivers

Mobile Mondays continues to grow into a must-attend for Saginaw County. This month we hosted at Westdale Elementary School where families gathered for books, activities, a warm meal, food distribution, and household paper products while families and caregivers spoke directly with partner organizations and learned about local resources. 

FACT’s Loads of Love Free Community Laundry Day brought families together at Colby's Coin Laundry on Bay Road in Saginaw. Families were able to do three loads of laundry for free while making conversation with their neighbors about services available in the area.

FACT partnered with the Salvation Army of Saginaw for their monthly Family Game Night. Families spent the evening playing games with other families, sharing a meal, and having real conversations around the table.

The FACT Family Kitchen demo showed how healthy cooking can be practical and approachable for families. Chef Antwain prepared chicken fajitas that were healthy, affordable, and genuinely good, while walking families through the process step by step and answering questions about kitchen basics,

Mobile Mondays landed at Westdale Elementary with one of the largest turnouts we have seen. Families filled the space. Children explored books and activities while caregivers connected with trusted partners. We gave away personal care items, books, diapers and information about nearby programs. Blue Cross Complete served as the major sponsor and helped make the night possible.

FACT hosted Family Movie Time at NCG Trillium Theater in Grand Blanc for a showing of The Polar Express. Families received popcorn, caregiver bags, and enjoyed a surprise visit from Santa. Each child also received a "Believe Bell", just like in the movie, to take home.

November brought strong connection across both counties. Mobile Mondays went to The Neighb where we both created a warm space for children to explore books and video games while caregivers connected with trusted partners and learned about local services.

Loads of Love at Pro Clean Laundry on Pierson Road had its strongest day yet. More families came in, more partner agencies joined us, and more loads were washed than ever before. This event continues to be one of the most active and positive parts of our month.
