JULY: Flying High in Genesee County: A Joyful Evening at the Flint Caregiver Dinner
On the warm summer evening of July 15th, Families And Children Together (FACT) hosted a memorable Caregiver Dinner for Genesee County families at Physicians Park in Grand Blanc. This special event was all about connection. It brought together caregivers, children, and community members in a laid-back, welcoming setting designed to celebrate and strengthen the families we serve.
The evening had all the ingredients for summer magic. Kids (with a little help) flew kites, yard games dotted the grassy park, and the splash pad kept the kids cool and entertained. Laughter echoed through the space as children raced from one activity to the next, while adults relaxed and connected with others walking similar paths.
We, as always, are happy to have our friends at Molina Healthcare, who added extra fun with free ice cream and bubbles. Their presence helped create a festive, supportive tone that matched the spirit of the night perfectly. It’s partnerships like these that remind us how much more we can do when we work together.
Events like these may seem simple on the surface, but they carry deep meaning. For families who are often dealing with different pressures, having a space to show up, enjoy a meal, and let the kids play while building new friendships can be incredibly powerful. We saw caregivers trading stories, offering support, and exchanging contact information to stay in touch. That’s the kind of community we’re working to build—one where families are seen, valued, and surrounded by people who care.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to the many hands who helped make the evening possible. We’re honored to walk alongside you and can’t wait for the next gathering. Until then, keep flying high.
