Loads of Love: Fresh Laundry and Warm Hearts!

On February 13th, FACT hosted our first Loads of Love Laundry Day event at Pro Clean Laundromat on Court Street in Flint, and what a day it was! Despite a fierce snowstorm (and school closings) going through the county, families bundled up and made their way to the laundromat for fresh and clean clothes and to connect with others in the community.

We welcomed families throughout the day, covering the cost of their laundry and supplies and we offered a space to chat, laugh, and share stories. Friendly conversations continued while the washers and dryers did their thing, creating a little community connection in the laundromat.

We were happy to support these families and help lighten their load. Clean clothes might seem like a small thing, but they can make a huge difference for families balancing busy lives.

Events like Loads of Love are exactly why we do what we do at FACT: meeting families where they are and offering support that makes a real impact. We are grateful to Pro Clean for providing the space and to every family who joined us despite the winter weather.

This was just the beginning! After seeing the impact of this event, we are excited to bring more Laundry Day events to our community in the future. Stay tuned for upcoming dates and more opportunities to connect with FACT.
